Real Moments Captured by Google Street View Cameras

You never know what you’re going to find when you go into Google maps and take a look at the street view of your neighborhood. This man was searching when he found a mysterious sight in the lake of his neighborhood. It looked like a car and when he reported it to the police, they ended up discovering and solving a whole mystery that was unsolved for over 22 years. 

Did you ever stop to think that the Google street view car is not necessarily a car in every place in the world? Maybe you have seen that in some countries they have used a camel (for the desserts) and for others, like this small village in Romania, they use a horse and carriage. It looks like that is how they roll in Letea, Tulcea, Romania…and it seems it did the trick. 

Did you know that rabbits can fly? Well, you probably did not, since under normal circumstances, they can’t. However, this photo that was captured by a Google street view car in Poland is showing something a little different than the normal narrative. Not only does this rabbit appear to be flying, but it is doing it casually and gracefully. Maybe rabbits are just busy hiding this side of them from the world. 

You really never know what you’ll find when you zoom into random places on Google maps. You could find some really awesome locations or you could find some really shady things. This person seemed to find a secret science lab in the middle of nowhere (well it looks like it’s not so secret now that it has been revealed by Google street view). You’d think that they would have given it a more creative name. 

Being a Google Streets view car driver must be a pretty boring and tiring job at times. You are literally just driving around all day with a camera on top of your car. You have to go to some very remote and strange places that probably do not have any facilities or places to go to the bathroom. This man is the proof. However, he probably should have turned off the camera before he started doing his business. 

Some places are getting very creative when it comes to their methods of bringing in tourism. However, the Xinhua village in China just might take the cake. They have created a massive QR code out of thousands of trees that people can scan from the sky. Who wouldn’t be tempted to try it out and see what they have to offer? If they are creative enough to create this, their potential tourism should also be intriguing. 

Can you imagine glancing at all the islands that are around the world on Google maps and then suddenly seeing this? You would probably be caught very off guard and maybe (pleasantly surprised), but definitely left with a lot of other questions. Do people live on this island? Is it an island only of men? Or is it only for women and that is why it is shaped like that? 

Did you ever wonder if Mothman actually exists? If you ever had doubts or slight suspicions, your proof is finally here, thanks to Google street view. While filming in Mcclintic Wildlife Management Area in West Virginia, this image was captured. The Mothman looks a little caught off guard and surprised that someone was able to capture him on camera. He is not used to people or things being in his neck of the woods. 

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a…rainbow. It is a little confusing at first when you see this image of what appears to be a rainbow airplane flying in the sky. After looking at it, you are still confused if it is an airplane or if it’s a rainbow that seems to just be in the shape of an airplane. Whichever one it still leaves you with many unanswered questions. 

Did you ever think that the day would come when a street camera would capture a potential vortex? Well, here it is! On Karen Avenue in Las Vegas Nevada, you can find a very interesting house. Is it just an issue with the camera or is this truly how the house looks in real life? Either way, this image is a pretty shocking one that leaves lots and lots of questions. 

For those of you who have been dreaming of becoming a plant…it appears that there is hope. This woman found a way to transform herself into a plant. At least that is what it appears on the photo captured by Google street view. Although there is probably a very simple explanation for this picture, the effect is pretty interesting and makes you wonder what it would be like to become a plant growing on the beach. 

You would think that if someone escaped from jail, they would not take a stroll around the perimeters of the jail they escaped from. However, it seems that this man was confident enough in their escape plan that they did not even need to run and hide, they could just walk out as if it was nothing. Little did they know that the Google camera was lurking and recording the whole thing.

If you are looking for some of the strangest people in the world, Google Street cameras may just be the thing you needed to locate them. For example, with the help of Google street view, you can find the three legged man in Ontario. At first glance he appears very normal as he leans over and looks for something in his car. However, there is something slightly amiss in the picture. 

If a tree fell in the forest with no one around, would it make a sound? This strange situation with the pyramids seems to raise a similar question. Everyone is used to seeing the pyramids in a very specific way, however, this Google Street View footage is showing something a little bit different. Is this how they look when it seems like no one is around? Maybe this is a secret they thought no one would ever know. 

It seems like not all the Google Street view photos are caught at the best time. This camera captured something a little shocking, pretty sad, and slightly disturbing. They captured an entire home going up in flames. It seems like a fire crew was not able to make it there very quickly as the house is on fire and no one is around to try to stop it…so it seems.

When you first look at this picture, you might be inclined to look directly at the horseman in the photo. Why is he sitting there with a horse head or mask on his head? But then, after a moment, you realize that there is something even stranger going on here. Not only is he sitting with a horse head on his head, but he is sitting in a destroyed forest. 

Russia is a mysterious and strange place, especially as far as Google Street view is concerned. But you would probably also be very confused if you saw this when you were scrolling through the random things on Google maps in Russia. There is apparently a deep forest hole in the middle of nowhere in Russia with no other description other than “deep forest hole”. No one knows why or how it is there. 

Whether this is just a fluke or if this is somehow real, will never be known. But if this is a real picture, then there is something truly terrifying. Imagine if there were actually daddy long legs that took over an entire massive building like this. It would be terrifying, to say the least. Also, those would have to be some monstrous and concerning daddy long legs based just on their size. 

It is not clear what is more strange or creepier in this photo. Is it the fact that there is a massive sign that says “The End!” on the wall or is it the fact that this is located in a place called Normal, in Illinois? Should you consider this a warning if you are approaching this area or should you just be thankful that someone told you that this is the end of the road?

Imagine walking into this house, going to visit your friend’s house for the first time and you see this when you approach their home. It would be concerning and comical at the same time. This dog has a very interesting way to greet guests (or Google Street view cameras). He stands up straight, like a human, on his back legs and stares at them consistently. It’s hard to tell if he is a statue or a real dog. 

What would you do if you saw a Google Streets car driving through your neighborhood? Would you just let it pass, would you run and hide so that you wouldn’t be captured on camera, or would you be like this man who ran outside as soon as he had the chance, with a horse head costume on his head? After all, why make for a boring little street when you could make it memorable? 

It’s hard to tell just from this quick picture that was captured on Google street photos, whether this is a cat or a ninja or a spider. The way that it is making its way up the wall is pretty impressive regardless of which creature it actually is. However, it is also slightly disturbing because it looks like it’s actually a cat. No cat should be able to climb with that much ease.

There’s nothing to see here folks…it’s just a bunch of sheep chilling on the road. It does not seem to phase or bother them that there is a car driving by…they are not interested in getting up and going anywhere. They are relaxing in the sun and they are enjoying their spot on the road. No amount of cars is going to change that. They make the rules and the cars just follow. 

Leave it to cats to find the most comfortable and most perfect places to take a nap. They have a knack for finding the best places and this is the proof. Just look at this cat relaxing on top of the structure on this car. He could wake up and be in an entirely different city…but maybe that was his plan all along. He knew no one would see him so he could get a free ride wherever. 

People always suspected that there was something a little strange going on in the countryside of Alaska. After all, it is a bit like no man’s land there. There are so few people around that there are probably countless places that are never even seen by other humans. This, however, is the next level of strangeness…all captured thanks to the Google Street camera. It is a small older man that has his head screwed on backwards.

At first glance you might think that this a picture that was taken on Halloween, however, there is no actual proof of that. Maybe there is a real life Batman that runs through the streets of various towns. Or maybe this is another man who saw the Google Streets car and took his chance. He found his Halloween costume and decided to make a show for the cameras…one that would be immortalized for many years to come. 

It appears that there has been an alien sighting…one that was captured thanks to the Google street view camera. This man, dressed in an astronaut or alien costume is very strangely standing on the side of the road as if he is a part of the fence. He is standing completely still and just staring. No one knows why and for how long he has been there….or for how long he will be there. 

If you could make an animal impersonate an older person trying to take a selfie, this would probably be it. This cat walked right up to the Google street camera and wanted to see what was going on. In the process, he also managed to take a very comical looking selfie of himself where he is appearing to be confused and lost at the same time. This is a photo for keeps!

Although most of the items on this list are strange, unusual, or shocking things that Google street car has captured, this one seems to be the exception. This is a truly beautiful moment of love and reunification that was captured at just the right time. You can only hope that this mother and daughter, and their whole family will see this photo and be able to hold it in their memories forever. 

Most people are concerned with shark attacks only when they are in the water. Outside of the water, people usually don’t think of sharks (since sharks can’t survive very long on dry ground), but this house seems to be some sort of exception. They weren’t safe even in the comfort of their own home from the shark as it seems. He came right into their roof and was there to stay. 

What is the picture of “this just isn’t my day” more than this FedEx truck? This man was just out trying to deliver some packages, trying to do his job, when everything fell apart…quite literally. This truck fell apart at the hinges, right down the center. How and why is yet to be discovered, but it looks like a very strange occurrence. How is this even possible? How did this happen? 

Have you ever wondered what it looked like when a bear went into the water for a little snack? Well, here is your chance to see it up close and personal. This bear was looking for something to munch on when it went into the water and waited. It seemed that the fish just gathered all around him and came to him, asking to be eaten as his snack for the day. 

It seems like there are actually quite a few superheroes in the world. You already saw that Batman was discovered on a road in the middle of nowhere, and now you see that Spiderman is also on the loose. Spiderman was found on rooftops in Japan. Hopefully, it was a real spiderman trying to do good in the world and not just someone dressing up for the camera and the show. 

Have you ever wondered what it would look like to see a glitch in the matrix? You always hear this phrase but can you visualize what it actually means? This picture that was captured from the Google Street camera may help you to get a better idea. There are three sets of everything here. Three (or four) of the exact same couple walking past the exact same shop on the same road. 

Just when you think you have seen it all, Google street view proves you wrong. There is nothing out of the ordinary about riding a bike, however, once the bike looks like this one, it seems like there is some explaining to do. This person is riding a Victorian era bicycle as if it is completely normal. To make matters even crazier, they have a penguin riding in the back seat!

It seems like someone had had enough of street naming and by the time they got to this town in Nova Scotia, they simply did the first few things that came to their mind. This neighborhood has streets called “This”, “That”, and “The Other Street”. It must be pretty difficult to explain to a delivery person where you live. Imagine them calling and trying to say, no not This Street, That Street, next to The Other Street. 

How far will a witch go to escape Salem Massachusetts? It looks like they will actually go pretty far. This witch made her way all the way down to Argentina in her attempt to escape. However, it looks like she ran into some difficulties at her final destination. Something went wrong with her flying habits and she had a bit of an accident, leaving her in a bit of a pickle. 

Imagine you are walking on the road by the beach when all of a sudden this creature comes up out of the water and starts walking in front of you. You might be convinced that sea monsters actually do exist after all. Clearly, there is some proof to that, however, as this Google street view camera has captured. They only managed to get a picture of this creature from the back.
